Sunday Family Funday

Today Dane and I took Sophia to the National Tropical Botanical Gardens. We took the Alerton Garden Tour. It was BEAUTIFUL! Not to mention FREE! Every Sunday NTBG tours are free to Kama`aina. For those reading outside of Hawai`i, Kama`aina means local to Hawai`i. So those of you with Hawai`i State ID's GO! Go on Sunday's! ITS FREEEE!!! Lol.
It was incredibly beautiful to see and FEEL! I'm not sure if it's because I'm taking a Hawaiian religion class but I felt really close to these plants and I loved knowing background stories to some of them.
This is Sophia enjoying the water structure at the Mermaid Garden. This was a beautiful sight to see. All the water fixtures there are gravity fed this particular one made waves down the fixture.
This is a Red Ginger Heliconia. Absolutely stunning! There was a line to get this picture! If it charged 10 cents to take it's picture, it'd be a millionaire! Haha!
This is Dane and Sophia looking at a beautiful pond built by accident! The constructer accidentally drilled a hold letting in all of this water and fish and plants and it just grew more and added to the beauty of the garden! We saw Koi fish, Froggies and BEAUTIFUL Lilly flowers :) Lilies are my fave!
This is the Bamboo Cove. Beautiful bamboo shooting out everywhere! It is breath taking!

Here we have miss Sophia playing with more water! Haha! This girl would cry every time we had to leave a water fixture!

Here Sophia is playing in the roots of a huge tree that I totally forgot the name of! Lol

And here we have the twins... Completely over it begging mom to stop being such a tourist and take us home! Haha!

We had an awesome time! It was beautiful and definitely a great way to spend some family time! I really suggest that more locals take advantage of the Kama`aina Sundays! This is our second Sunday there but first time on the Alerton's tour. We will definitely be doing this more often!! :)
