Playing Tourist

Sunday morning we sat around asking each other "What should we do today?" "What is there to do?" "I really don't want to spend a lot of money" So I googled it! You'd be amazed what google can do for your day ;) One thing really stood out to the caffeine-deprived animal inside of me.... FREE COFFEE TASTING at Kaua'i Coffee!!! Like need I say more? FREE. COFFEE! Now it's called coffee "tasting" but really you could just keep filling up that tiny cup until your eyes are so wide they take up half of your face! Haha! They also have a little café on their balcony with lots of drinks and a few food items. It was such a beautiful view from the balcony... Can you believe I was born and raised here and NEVER been down to Kaua's Coffee?!
On our way home from Kaua'i Coffee we stopped by Lawai International Center. It was such an amazing experience, my mother in law was raised Buddhist so it was nice to be with her in a surrounding that was familiar with her. And to meet such a wonderful woman, Lynn Muramoto, who runs the center and you can tell she is just so dedicated tot what she does and her love for that place radiates when she is speaking to you.
After a very satisfying nap (for me), we packed up dinner and headed down to Nawiliwili Pier to have dinner and catch some fish. It's become more of a weekly thing. It's nice we stay until sunset and then we head home and rush Sophia into the shower before she falls asleep, she usually falls asleep in the shower. haha!

Here we are coffee tasting... The cups are small but you can sure get a buzz off the 20 different kinds of coffee they have out!

These are the different kinds of roasts. I must say I really like the Peaberry. It is double in caffeine but also acidity. TWO coffee beans are found in a peaberry.

The view was magnificent!

This is the eye of Sheba

 

The blue ball is the tear of Sheba. That tree literally grows these blue "fruits". and when they dry they turn into the brown ones there. People use them to make jewelry. It's beautiful.

 

Now I don't know exactly what she ws saying to the dog but I can imagine it was something like "No, this is MY water!" hahaha!
